WWW Wednesday | 9th September 2020
Hello All!
Today I am participating in WWW Wednesday which is a meme which was created by A Daily Rhythm and then taken over by Taking on a World of Worlds.
The idea is to answer these three simple questions:
What are you reading?
What did you recently finish reading?
What do you think you’ll read next?
*Please note: Links marked with a * are affiliate links which means that I get a small commission if you buy anything from those links*
What are you reading?
A Darker Shade of Magic by V. E Schwab*
This is a re-read for me and I am loving being pulled into the world all over again. Disclaimer- I have never read further than ADSOM despite owning the entire series. So I am looking forward to reading the rest of the series once I’ve finished this book!
The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue by V. E Schwab*
So I am about one chapter into this book but it counts – right? I am already in love with the book and cannot wait to see where the rest of the book will take me.
Vicious by V. E. Schwab*
I am currently reading this one with the lovely Alex from Alex’s Books. I’m not very far into it as I’ve been a bit unwell the past week or so but I’m hoping to get further into it shortly.
The Thursday Murder Club by Richard Osman*
I’m reading this one for the audiobook blog tour (my stop is on Sunday) and I am really enjoying it so far. It’s a different read to what I’m used to but I’m very intrigued anyway.
Let’s Call it a Doomsday by Katie Henry*
I actually started reading this one in August last year but never got around to finishing it and just needed a book with a bit of humour in and one that I knew had a good narrator so I started reading this one while I had a migraine this week and I am fully back into the story and think I should be able to finish it this time!
What did you recently finish reading?
Let’s Talk about Love by Claire Kann*
I really enjoyed this book. It was very cute, very light-hearted and just filled me with a sense of well-being. I did have an issue with two of the characters and a situation that definitely hit a bit too close to home for me but aside from that, it was just everything that I wanted for from the book.
Seige and Storm by Leigh Bardugo*
I did really like this book but it definitely didn’t grip me as much as Shadow and Bone did and I’m not as excited to read Ruin and Rising as I hoped I would be. I will definitely be reading it as I would like to know how the story ends but I just found this book to be a little bit slower, which isn’t unusual for the second book in a trilogy!
What do you think you'll read next?
These are the final three books I was hoping to read in August. I may not get to them but if I don’t, they will definitely be the firsts ones I read in September!
