As the month is over, I am here to share with you all the books I read in December.
I didn’t read as many books as I had hoped to because I seem to be in a little bit of a reading slump but here are the books that I did manage to read!

A Curse So Dark and Lonely by Brigid Kemmerer* This was a re-read for me and one that I very much enjoyed reading again. In actuality it took me over a month to re-read this but that’s okay because it works as a slow burn read for sure.
A Heart So Fierce and Broken by Brigid Kemmerer* Again, this was a re-read for me. Both of these books were re-read to prepare myself for the final book in the series. I loved this book just as much the second time around as I did the first!
Red, White and Royal Blue by Casey McQuiston* I have mixed feelings about this book on the one hand, I really enjoyed it but on the other it took a while to get stuck into it because some of the politic talk pulled me right out of the book and I needed a book that was going to keep me entertained throughout.
Christmas at Fireside Cabins by Jenny Hale* This was a so-so read for me. While it was a really cute, heart-warming story by the end. It had a bit of a slow start. There was a lot of repetition and I didn’t really like how the main character treated the male character. Plus, the characters all felt very 2D and there was a lot of tell not show. But once it got into the heart of the story it was a lot easier to enjoy the romance of it which helped.
